The Pagan Winter
(by Zsolt Pfalzgráf; Freezing Flames Fanzine #1)

Sear Bliss came from the void with hellish energy. They have been in a sufficiently silent activity till a long time. This period was characterised by unceasing rehearsals. To find the corresponding members it was not easy and also the line-up changes made the band's activity more difficult. In early '95 the guys felt that there was the time to record their first demo. Four songs were recorded with a 24-track recorder in April 1995 in the Hungarian LMS Studio. This open-minded band works with a keyboard player and a trumpet player, so Sear Bliss offer the listeners an atmospheric/melodic pagan Black music, variable rhythms, screeching vocals, beautiful keyboard and trumpet harmonies. Anyhow, this is the most wonderful tape which has ever been released in Hungary. Without corpsepaint, they give grandiose live gigs and of course they use keyboards and trumpet on stage, too. Nothing more to say, order this magnificent MCD..
