The first part of this mini disc features the four songs from the '95 demo "The Pagan Winter". Which is some kind of atmospheric and mystic Black Metal (err, guess that made you a lot wiser!?). Lot's of good ideas here, but it's never taking completely off. The keyboards play an important part of the music and there's also some clever use of trumpets(!) The trumpet "solo" of "Twilight" ends off the demo part and brings us to "In the Shadow of Another World", a 12-minute epic recorded in November, '96. After a calm and almost dreamy intro the song takes off in much the same style as the previous material blending black metal with sweet melodies.
