Forsaken Symphony
(by Patrick, The Darkest Hours 2002)

After what I heard from Grand Destiny, I didn't knew what to expect with Forsaken Symphony but guess what....I am very pleased with this album. This album gave me the same feelings that Stormblast (old album) from Dimmu Borgir gave me in the past...The same melancholic dark vibe. Ok, it's way more heavy and brutal but it has the same kind of vibe. The amazing keyboard melodies , the tuba and brass section is something very important on that release. Even if it's old school black metal , they kind of put someting fresh in it, sometime unique. It's really easy to see that this is a better album than the previous...way better! You get 63 minutes of pure black metal with amazing melodies and well written song. Good production too so if you're a black metal fans, there's absolutly no reason to forget about this CD...you have to check it out! A more mature album, an amazing improvement!
